Legacy 6 was a great event that was truly a blast to go to. For me, Legacy has always been my favorite Venturing event of the year because it was the first event that I went to and it showed me just how huge and interconnected the venturing community really is.
I always love to see what each individual camp has to offer and experience the unique events that each Legacy brings. I particularly enjoyed the walk-up events at this Legacy; there was everything from bouncing around on rideable exercise balls to running at each other while wearing inflatable tubes.
Out of all the walk-up events, the one that offered the most fun for me was the A Frame. They had a giant A frame lashed together with four ropes. Someone would stand in the middle and others would slowly walk the A frame forward and balance the middle person. It was a marvel to watch a team building game that really embodies what Venturing fellowship means to me.
After having helped plan Legacy 5, I appreciate all of the hard work and effort of the Blue Ridge Council VOA in hosting this event and I thank them for putting together a truly awesome truly Legacy. It never ceases to amaze me just how much fun and fellowship Legacy brings each year.
