Certified Angling Instructor Course – April 17-19

Certified Angling Instructor Course – April 17-19

March 2, 2020

There’s a great course coming up in Area 5 designed to give Scouters what they need to get units fishing. The course was developed and is directed by the BSA National Fishing Committee and is being hosted by the Mecklenburg County Council at Camp Belk on April 17-19, 2020.

Course Highlights

  • Become a BSA Certified Angling Instructor and receive a CAI patch and certificate.
  • Learn basic fishing and fly-fishing skills – fly casting, fly tying, where to find fish, knots, and much more.
  • As a CAI you’ll be able to get equipment at greatly reduced rates.
  • Apply your weekend of learning by working with youth on Sunday.

Who should attend? BSA registered Scouters, both volunteer and professional, the course is great for Cub, Scouts BSA, Venturing, and Sea Scout leaders.
